At the same time, the advent of Agentic AI and Agentic commerce is driving exciting innovations in the payments space but also creating new attack vectors for fraudsters. Addressing these trends will require rapid and effective decision making, strong collaboration with internal and external partners and a strong external focus to stay plugged in to innovations, new form factors and of course adaptations by fraudsters.The Agentic Commerce Fraud Risk team is looking for an energetic and high-performing Manager to drive innovation in Fraud Strategy and servicing landscape. This exciting and critical position will be responsible for evaluating victim fraud risk and designing mitigation strategies for agentic commerce use cases. The role works very closely with Fraud Risk colleagues around the globe and with enterprise partners including Global Servicing, Labs, Enterprise Digital, Technology, and ensure we are doing it the right way.ResponsibilitiesManage fraud losses for proprietary portfolio for Agentic CommerceDesigning victim fraud risk servicing strategies for agentic commerce use casesMinimize Unprofitable Fraud Related Disruptions, with specific focus on Fraud Strategy ControlsAddress Emerging Fraud Trends & Monitor Key Metrics to take Corrective ActionsConceptualize and implement new variables which would help in reducing approved fraudPartner with Global Servicing, Digital Labs, and other teamsProvide thought leadership for new agentic product integrationsLead integration of new data sourcesEstablish KPIs and KRIsParticipate in new product development discussions as neededAddress Emerging Fraud Trends & Monitor Key Metrics to take Corrective ActionsQualificationsUndergraduate / master’s degree in science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or Computer ScienceExperience with data processing tools such as R, SAS, SQL, Hive, Yellow Brick, or Python is requiredUnderstanding of statistical techniques related to data analysis and correlationKnowledge of machine learning algorithms is a plusWorking knowledge of fraud landscape and emerging fraud trends in the card space is a plusUnderstanding of payment products, emerging technologies and competitive landscape is preferredAbility to manage multiple requests and changing priorities and to work in a fast-paced dynamic environmentProven track record of working proactively and independently to solve problems and drive resultsStrong presentation skills to convey data and fraud insights to different stakeholdersAbility to build collaborative, trusting relationshipsStrong project management and communication skills to work effectively in a team environmentExperience/knowledge of Agentic Payments/AI preferredEmployment eligibility to work with American Express in the United States is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions.
